I've spent my life hoping
for someone to come along,
like the answer to a prayer,
like the music to a song.
Like a miracle that happens
at a special time and place,
that will change my life forever
where my loneliness would be erased.
The dream had always been there
before I ever knew your name,
and now that I have found you,
things will never be the same.
Pardon me if I can't take my eyes off you
forgive me if I stare,
the dream I've always dreamt before
came true when I saw you standing there.
For so long I've been praying
for you to come along,
like the answer to my prayer,
and the music to my song.
