I somehow lost my words today
without fair warning, just gone
and in their place was a blank space
where normally clear thoughts adorn.
It wasn't through neglect of mine
I was baffled at the time
and in between the 'err...' and 'hmm's...'
my brain began to rhyme.
They say fatigue brings with it
signs that we need a rest,
I guess lost words were the clear sign
it sure puts me to the test.
So now I'm here winging it
perchance I lose my glow
I hope to track those syllables
to somehow help this rhyme flow.
