There was once a young boy. He was cold and alone. One day in school this girl came up to him. Her skin fair and hair a vibrant red. Eyes as green as emeralds and a smile more beautiful than a rose. She wanted to be friends with this boy fore she had noticed he was always alone. The boy was baffled and dumbfounded because no one had ever asked him such a thing. They became the best of friends even if at first it was a bit odd. One day in their junior year of highschool the boy asked the girl out. She of course said yes and their relationship was happy and healthy. Years past and they finally got married. They tried for children but the girl to her horror was unable to have children. They bought a house and years past by till they were old and grey and one day the wife grew gravely ill and passed away on Valentine's Day. The man grief stricken went back to being cold and callused. The man took a year to come to terms with the passing of his wife and on that Valentine's Day he planted a single rose in the center of his backyard. With that he sat on a bench on his patio, closed his eyes, and passed away.
