When I saw her
I couldn’t ignore the echoes of my heart
All my walls came crumbling down
She was my thought of the day
My night thoughts
My luck in life
Without a second thought
I lent my heart in hopes it wouldn’t break
Oh, what a mistake that was to make
My heart broke
As her words dripped with sarcasm
My mind whirled with the revelation of my unimportance
Oh, how bold of me it was to make the assumption
That she felt the same
