I never thought I'd find myself falling again 
For I gave up on love wanting to flee the pain
From the heartbreak that came from a loved one turning you away 
But here I am at your doorstep
Ready to plunge right back in 

For you I'd suffer the pain all over 
With you I'd let go of my past 
I'm not just handing you power 
I also give to you the authority to bring me down 
And so I ask

Would it be okay if I gave you my heart?
Would it be okay if I took charge of making you smile? 
Would it be okay if I held you awhile? 
All I'm asking is to be your man

Would it be alright to never tell you lies?
To stay true, faithful and to always be by your side
Would it be okay if I wiped your tears by kissing your eyes?
