Have you ever noticed the bags under her eyes or the anger issues that she has? Noticed how her hollow cheeks and cracked lips still forced into a smile as she struggles to show everyone that she’s a fighter, and that she will be alright? 

No one bothered to hold her close, to tell her that it's okay to not be fine. So she breathed through her life as if it were a battlefield and wished that one day she could live, and not just survive. 

Have you ever noticed the stiffness of his stance or the insecurities that he hides? Noticed how his tired eyes and weary bones still forced into a pillar of strength as he struggles to show everyone that he's a warrior, and that he will be alright? 

No one bothered to see his pain, to tell him that it's okay not to be fine. So he soldiered on through his life as if it were a battlefield and wished that one day he could live, and not just survive. 

Aren’t we all waiting to be read by someone, praying that they’ll tell us that all that we are, actually makes sense?
