If I had a man to hear what I say, 
I would lay in his arms and talk about our day.
When in deep sorrow he'd say everything is ok.
He may even wipe tears away. 

When skies are grey he would lift us up. The love between us an overflowing cup. 

If I had a man to see what I see
He would see storms in my heart and say they can't be. 
He would love me for me and in trail not flee.
If I had a man to see what I see.

If I had a man to love how I love our children would be guided by the one above. 
The one who always hears and always sees.
If I had a man to be with me.
