 Death
What is it
We do so many things to avoid the thought But it comes right back to our minds
Why do we have this thing
That we can’t wrap our heads around
We don’t let anyone see us breakdown Because if they see we are weak
We know they will judge
Judged on something so sensitive
That we become insensitive
To everything
We cry about death
But then we put on a facade
Cause if we don’t we'll be classified as odd We wish they were alive
So we could be happy
And everything could be dandy
But they’re not so we will live on without them We are overwhelmed
So we try to excel at something
All in the meantime
We hid what’s inside
So we can be like everyone else
And not stand out
We worry about people having doubts Wishing we were normal
Quarreling about our thoughts
Secretly thinking about our loss
But at what cost
Should we put our feelings behind
Having everyone think we don’t mind Wanting to click rewind
To see them again
And not say farewell
We can’t comprehend
Why they had had to end
And leave us here without them
We try to erase the past
Thinking we’re trash
Yet we crash into our feelings
So we try to stop the bleeding
But our feelings are creeping
Their way into our mind
These are the thoughts
I live with everyday
Hoping I don’t stray
Away from reality
And become a robot
With no real thoughts

  • It's easy to get lost because there isn't any commas' or punctuation marks. There isn't a rhythm to follow, and rhyming is used in the middle and end of the poem.

Sometimes it’s hard to be the real you but a facade virtually eliminates who you really are-difficult choice in a world of judgment-how strong you’re self image is or how you want to project yourself to the people you care about may determine the direction you take🦋🦋🦋
