I want to apologize ahead of time if it offends anyone. It is not my intention. Just want to spread a little light and love. This is for those entrapped in darkness. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

You think that a 5 yr. old would be playing innocently with her stuffed animal

But what is innocence?

I am sure that 5 yr old thought that what she would do was normal

Here comes the silence

Behind closed doors she was daddy's little girl

Out in the open she was a nuisance

Yet daddy was her world

Who cared if it made any sense

As time passed by and the little girl grew older

Daddy's affection became more apparent

And the arms that once would caress her

Pushed her into an abusive verbal torrent

Though daddy's verbal rod would break her apart

Heaven's unconditional love would put her back together again

Making that love grow stronger within her heart

Nevermore would his painful words offend

This little girl is now a woman

Living life one day at a time

Though each day is a constant struggle to overcome and heal from the damage that was done

Yet she keeps moving and pushing forward, up towards the climb

She will make it there one day

I know she will

Her love leads the way

To the top of Freedom Hill
