This is going to my father. You worked your fingers to the bone since you were 10 years old. You made your mistakes, took life head on with no real guidance. I don't look at that negatively or look down upon you, I never will. You were dealt a bad hand yet still played the game.

At 19 years old you still only have the knowledge of a teen but an unborn son on the way, you put your eyes on that and you were blessed with me.
A baby boy, your first born son.

The excitement and joy was cut short as I was taken away by my biological mother only to see you every so often, of that.

5 years later, I'm dropped off at my Grandmas house, abandoned. Only you were the one that stepped up, dropped everything to come get me and make sure I was okay, which was far from what I was.

When you picked me up in the condition I was in made something ignite in you. Fatherly instinct.

It wasn't easy, we struggled but look at us now, look at you now! You've come such a long way coming from literally nothing. I'm proud you are my dad. Not only did you raise me right, but also raised Moses, Elijah and little Shay Shay right.

I want to thank you for everything you have done for not only your children but for yourself. No matter the obstacles, no matter the falters, no matter the growing pains as a family you never gave up. You never gave up on supporting your children, even if it took blood, sweat and tears you do it all for us. I love you dad. Thank you for all you do, thank you for loving the kids and I unconditionally. Lastly, thank you for never giving up on me when I was in a dark place in my life.

Victor Esiquio Herrera Sr. You are the true definition of a father.

Much Love,
Your oldest child, Jr.
