Today, if you venture outside your house, in any part of the world, you'll see a different picture than what you would have back in 2018, ten years ago.

The insidious rise of opiate overdoses involving the number one drug sold on the market, Fentanyl, had snuck up on everyone—everyone who wasn't paying attention. While citizens of the U.S. were too preoccupied with what the president was doing, they didn't see the Fentanyl body count steadily rising until it was too late.

Needle exchanges with emergency shots of Naloxone—an opiate blocker—weren't enough to save lives anymore. Patients prescribed to Fentanyl simply couldn't afford the expensive drug anymore. But they needed something to keep them from the horrendous opiate withdrawal. As a result, most people made the switch to the significantly less expensive, heroin.

Then along came Dr. Death, as he quickly came to be known as, who won the nation’s presidency over Senator Hilary Clinton. Nobody wanted the lying liberal cunt as leader of our nation, and Dr. Death was proposing a much better health care system that would provide cheaper medications. With half the nation addicted to pain killers, it was a landslide. Then, the doctor revealed another side.

His cheap health care plan never happened. Instead, he had legalized all narcotics for the purpose of research to find more cures for disorders and disease. The government then put a tax on every narcotic you could think of, making them available in appropriate stores.

It became one big party after that.

     Many, many people died.

After a year under Dr. Death’s reign, the national death rate grew ten times it had been back when he was first elected. At first, many people flocked to the uppers—cocaine, meth, ecstasy, to name a few. Weed was always a favorite. And of course, the garden variety of pills, pills, pills.

However, everyone eventually found heroin. It was the only drug that made you feel good when coming down from another drug. And the only come down for heroin was sleep.

Today, in 2028, everyone is addicted to shooting up heroin. There are still a few crackheads and potheads, but the majority of the population are on heroin.

So, when you walk outside of your house today, you see Hell…
