When she took my hand into her's

And proclaimed her desire to lay our bodies down,

I froze from the thought of that passion fading

The moment she saw me exposed, gaunt and a discolored brown.

It was enough for me to embrace innocence

For years well past when I was ready,

Because maybe then with a little patience

I could ask for one last favor from puberty.

My wishes remained locked away in fairytales

And my dreams stayed as just that,

Places so magical that they felt like hell

As all my dream girls passed me by.
