The stale leaves flowing across the floor, littering the land, the wretched smells of unkown orirgin plagueing the air. The land, like always seemed to be wretched itself. But Jack and Boris seems to always lighten the land up sometimes.

¨Arrow Jack?¨ Boris Asked as he crossed his legs, waiting for an answer.

“Yup, figured I am not going to change it.” Jack said as he walked in the room, putting down some extra equipment.

“Still want to own that village of yours?” Boris asked.

¨Yup, tis the plan, once I make enough coin. I shall be on my merry way to Chrylotine, I heard it is way safer than Stoikia.¨ Jack said confidently.

There was a slight silence between Jack and Boris, Boris thought on what to say next, he did not know how to say it or break the news to him.

¨Look Jack, there is no such thing as a ¨Safer Place¨ than Stoikia, every place has its bandit camps and poverty.¨ Boris said to his brother as he he put his leg down.

¨I do not know what you are talking about.¨ Jack replied as he stopped what he was doing.

¨Just because they called this island Stoikia, it does not mean that this is not the only place that has bandit camps and assassination. Like Pa said¨There is no such thing as a perfect world without problems¨ Ya know?¨ Boris said to his brother with a concern tone, concerned about his brother´s decisions.

Jack stood there, rolling his eyes at his brother, while continued to put away the materials he gathered.

¨How are you going to make enough coin anyway? You only own one blacksmith shop, tis not like a couple of weapons and steel might do the trick.¨ Boris said while crossing his arms while still intrigued with what will be Jack’s answer.

¨Ah, you see this.¨ Jack said as he holds up his right hand.

¨Tis my ticket out of here, our ticket out of here, without this hand, I´d be a goner.¨ Jack said as he imitated a sword cutting off his hand with his other hand.

Boris just glanced at Jack, thinking about his ignorance.

¨If you say so, Witches are getting more and more aggressive recently, and I heard holy tipped swords are getting some heat, you know how much Sillow it is to get it blessed by the priest. What are you going to do? Become a priest?¨ Boris said as if he doesn’t want Jack and himself doesn’t to leave Stoikia.

“Well, let’s hope ole mighty Olar has better plans for us mortals than becoming a priest, maybe if we do something so great, maybe the people here would sing songs of us, even if we were to perish a horrible death!” Jack yelled out greatly as he stood on the chair with one foot.

¨I´d rather have Corsi himself have my soul in his treasure keep.¨ Boris said laughing hysterically.

¨Joking about Corisi himself now, Ay?” Jack said as he smiled about his older brother´s arrogance about believing in their God.

¨You believe in him right?¨ Jack said with concern.

Boris just stood up and went to go pour in some water into his tankard.

¨Who, Ole Olar the Great? Our lord and saviour, of course I believe in him, the thing is that they change the manuscripts so much it is hard to tell if they are lying or not.¨ Boris said as he took a loud sip from his tankard.

¨Who would believe that the old man, such as himself was able to cross the sea from Korleah to Chrylotine in a matter of days, whilst killing bandits, witches and other dangers to ¨cleanse¨ this reach.¨ Boris said while putting his finger on his head.

¨I try to believe the tales the old left behind¨ Jack protested.

"Soon, I will have to leave this place, it is up to you if you want to come?"

¨Like what Ma said to Pa ¨Whither thou goest, I’ll go¨, right?¨ Boris asked

Then Jack started pace around the hut for awhile.

¨Fine, I shall get going now, it’s the Eyles festival tomorrow, remember?” Jack said delightedly.

¨Oh yeah, I remember as it if were today,¨ Boris said sarcastically.

¨Splendid, I am going to check on the orders for the Korleah spices, I am going to make a fabulous Wisp meat stew. I know how much you want to try some.¨Jack said formally.

Boris just rolled his eyes as he took another loud sip from his tankard.

¨I’d best be going now.¨Jack said as he walked out hut.

¨Tis is it much for me not to be there?¨ Boris thought as he put his hands on his head.

The next day, people were working hard on decorations, food, and drinks for the festival. The bakers baked sweets for the young, the tavern keepers lend their mead, shop keepers set up small shops outside for outsiders to buy, Gamblers set up tables of cards, sticks, stones, iron filings, and chips, and the rest made food and bring drinks for the festival.

¨We got 100 on the line!¨The Auctionist said to the crowd.

¨200 collow!¨

¨250!¨

¨Make that 20 sillow!¨ a man in the back said as the crowd gasped.

¨That much? I wouldn’t even pay for it with Sillow!¨ another man said in the back.

¨20 Sillow!,Going once!¨

The crowd started murmuring

¨Going twice!¨

The man in the back got his coins ready.

¨Aaaand she’s…..¨

¨Make that 30 Sillow!¨Boris said as he stood up with a coin purse in his right hand.

The crowd went speechless, and kept staring at him.

¨30 Sillow, 30 Sillow, going once!¨The Auctionist said.

The crowd went louder.

¨Hes crazy, he’s paying 30 Sillow for that!¨ A random person said in the back.

¨Going twice!¨

¨I`m ready!¨ Boris thought.

¨Aaaaaaand, She’s yours!!¨The Auctionist said with enthusiasm, as he slammed his gravel on the auction table.

The whole crowd sighed with disappointment as Boris walked up with the coins in his hands.

¨Yer crazy, ya know that son, paying that much just for an old bow, the legends were true! This island wants everything.¨The Auctionist said as he handed Boris an old Bow, with the string snapped in half, half the bow was rigidity, and the wood smelt of mildew and salt, as if it were from a boarding ship.

¨You are right there Mister, everyone wants everything, I thinks it’s called poverty.¨Boris said as he grabbed the bow and started to inspect it with a happy expression.

¨Ye speak like a true respectful noble there son.”The Auctionist said sarcastically, while chuckling away.

¨I sensed true sarcasm there in that man, explains his dirty rags and poor auctioning skills.¨Boris thought as he walked down the auctioning table and approached Jack.

¨So you payed 30 Sillow for that thing!¨Jack said as he sighed.

Boris paused for bit, putting his hands on his head.

¨Yeah I did, my old one was taken, ole dart is gone for good.¨ Boris said as he held up the bow.

¨Boris, your just like the rest of these people, I`m not even going to call them people. You want everything that’s on the shelf! No matter the price.¨ Jack said while glaring at Boris.

Boris just shrugged.

¨We have to save our coins! You ask me how I`m going to make enough coin from my shop, while your over there, on your merry way to an Auction, a very expensive one!¨ Jack exclaimed.

¨I`m sorry that the nobles like giving us next to nothing, I`m sorry, it’s not my fault the nobles and Kings are greedy and like taking our coin!'

¨What happen to your bow?¨Jack said as he crossed his arms

¨Jameson took it, the filthy rat took everything from the house this morning.¨

¨But why are you buying a bow that look like it is going to break any time soon?¨ Jack asked.

¨Tis the Jacksmith that is going to fix her up for me!¨ Boris said with excitement as he held out the bow.

¨What is it that I said about calling me Jacksmith, and no. I am not going to fix it for you, it is a waste of time. And materials.¨ Jack said as he refused to take the bow, then he stomped away.

¨Wow, thanks brother, you are the best!¨ Boris said sarcastically.

Boris then stomoed the other way, towards the Auctioning that was going on.

¨Yer back from more ay?¨ The Auctionist said to Boris.

“No, I have a question, may I ask?” Boris said as he crinkled his nose.

“Yeah, sure, ask way there lad.” the Auctionist said.

Boris hen put his finger on his mouth, not kowing what to ask.

“Who are you and where did you get this bow? Boris asked as he started to breath through his mouth.

“Why, Ye be Charles Grewth, but call me Captain Grewth.”Charles said.

“And the bow, ye found it at “Corsi`s Shores” at Chrylotine.” Charles said as he came a little closer to Boris.

“Judging by your accent, Are you a pirate mercenary, or just some sea dog?”Boris asked as he stepped away from Charles.

“Just a traveler, Ye be too cautious, that’s good ye know there’s more than one type of pirates.” Charles said.

“Why ye ask” Charles said

“The bow.’Boris said.

“You think you can take me and my brother to Chrylotine?”Boris asked

“Nye, I`m not going back to that hogwash!” Charles yelled out immediately.

Everyone glanced at Charles and Boris.

“Don’t talk to me or even come back here, ye banned from my auctions if ye bring up that hogwash again” Charles snapped as he limped back to his auctioning table.

“What was that all about?” Jack said as he was running towards Boris to see what was all the ruckus.

Jack just stared at Boris, waiting, while Boris started to avoid eye contact with Jack.

“All I said was if he can take us to Chrylotine, then he just snapped like he hated that place to death.” Boris said as he started scratching his neck.

“Well who cares, I came to apologize Tis the Jacksmith job, is not?” Jack said with a calm voice as he put his arms up for a hug.

“So,You will you do it?” Bois said as he hugged Jack

“Yeah, I guess, tis my job.” Jack said as he grabbed the bow from Boris.

“But first, let’s eat.” Jack said.

At the table, there were stuffed mice,Sour meat that smelt of salt and mildew from a distance, a fruit basket with randomly picked fruits like deathbell mushrooms and rotten apples, and the two normal things that both nobles and peasants ate were carp and Chicken.

“So, Chicken?” Boris asked.

“Yeah, makes me question of: how is this town still alive?” Jack said

“Yeah, dormice, seriously!”Boris exclaimed

“Like they want Lira” Jack said laughing

“Ey, look , tis a mouse, lets eat it!” Boris said sarcastically as they both laughed and grabbed pieces of chicken.

The chicken smelled of mold, the texter was a hard rubbery and lumpy. The chicken itself hardly looked appetizing, Jack and Boris had a hard time to tell which one was chicken or not.

“Tasty, huh?” Jack asked sarcastically.

“Nope, it’s kinda gross, still.” Boris said. As he spit out a piece of chicken

“Lets hope we do not get sick.” Jack said.

“I`d rather get my own food, wanna go hunting?” Boris said.

“No I do not.” Jack said as his tone went from happy to annoyed.

“Why not, this food is crappy, plus, that’s where we get our own food.” Boris said as he picked up piece of chicken and threw it.

“One, your bow was taken. Two, it’s not our land to go hunting in,we need permission and Jameson won’t let us through.” Jack said

“But isn’t that the reason we are disguised?” Boris said

“Remember we were fired last week for not showing up alot.” Jack said.

“Lets try Pa`s way through, I am certain that might work.” Boris said.

“Didn’t you hear? They closed the sewer trail, and now its infested with guards and brigmites.” Jack said.

“How did you know that?” Boris asked.

“Jameson put up bounties on getting rid of the mites and protecting the trail from bandits and outsiders.” Jack said.

“That bastard! Where is the nearest bounty board!” Boris Exclaimed

“Not right now, the Eyles show is going to be playing soon.” Jack said.

“Fine, but that filthy brigrat is going to pay!” Boris exclaimed angrily.
