There it's an interesting Legend surrounding the Cornucopia. In ancient times, there was once a village which was suffering a great drought. The pickings of the village was slim, and they can barely survive. A young wizard, was rescued by these villagers. They had no idea of what he was, or even who he was. The young wizard was so grateful for the kindness they showed him, even though they were suffering that he granted them a basket in the shape of a goat's horn. He cast a spell on it in front of their eyes, and that basket contained fruit. He told the villagers, if they ever were in need of food to wish for.
The artifact had been stolen many years later, when the village was raided by Bandits. In their hands, they tried profiting on It's value yet it would not produce anything. They attempted to destroy the artifact, but they could not destroy it. They attempted to get rid of the artifact, and who better young orphan boy should discover it. In another Village, the boy had discovered the artifact's truth value. He should the food with many of the street dwellers, raising the curiosity of a nobleman who had never seen them with so much bounty. The nobleman, let the boy and asked him if he would join him for dinner if he would bring the artifact with him. The boy stated, that he would be happy to share dinner.
That night, he shared the artifact with the noble family. Amazed by the mystery item, he took in the boy after agreeing to share food with the poor. He ensured them shelter and clothing as well. It has been passed down through several generations, but was lost in time. To this day, nobody has rediscovered the true horn of plenty. Was this just a legend, or is their truth in this story? Who knows if it was real or not.
