Feeling melancholy 
Just a step away from depressed
No stranger-been there before 
Have spent weeks reading others
Trying to empathize 
Trying to be supportive 
It’s easier when it is others
It’s tough as hell when it’s you
I know the dynamics
I know the routines
I know the choices 
All I have to do is apply them
“All’ an oversimplification 
To a complication
What I don’t know is what’s ahead
So I m scared and will survive 
Been through worse
But who needs it
When you get what you didn’t ask for
You face another mountain to climb
So off I go
To another god damn Everest
