Dreamless nights
Pointless fights
I build myself up
And you tears me down.
I have to fake a smile 
When they need come around.
I wish I saw it coming
That way I'd know for sure 
You aren't the best for me
And I would still be pure
I have to cover up
After every fight
Put on a mask
and pretend it's all fine. 
If they could read my mind,
They would send some help 
You would disappear 
And I'll be better off by myself.
I won't have to cover up anymore.
Unmask my feelings
And open locked doors.
Let the secrets out and 
I won't have to cover up again
and that I know for sure.
