I remember blue sky's
And songbirds
Sweet flowers in the spring
Rushed past me as I go by
As I learned to spread my wings...
As far as I can remember,
This is where I've been.
Never once left my hometown...
And was thankful for all its gives.
My hometown, full of ups and downs...
Is where my story had begun.

Homeruns and touchdowns...
The world I live in has come crashing down.
The sky's is darker
And the wind is colder..
Ever since I had gotten older.

The dirt roads that seemed so far...
Are now shorter and less by far.
The old Creek where we would play..
Is dried up now...nothing but the bay.
Everyone's different and everything's changed...
My entire world is rearranged.
We used to want to break free,
and get out of here...
Now I want to go back to the place so dear.

Homeruns and touchdowns...
The world I live in has come crashing down.
The sky's is darker
And the wind is colder..
Ever since I had gotten older.

I look around and start to smile....
I haven't done that for a while.
Remembering those memories
of the friends I once had known...
Who would have guessed the first to leave...
Would wind up so alone?

Homeruns and touchdowns...
The world I live in has come crashing down.
The sky's is darker
And the wind is colder..
Ever since I had gotten older....

I hope I never get older...
