I’m under house arrest
No judge sentenced me
No lawyer represented me
No appeal process exists
I committed no crime
Yet-I am confined
The accepted, social description
Is “Homebound”
You see- my mind
 Isn’t serving this sentence
My body is
I will not bore you with the details
It would not help me
I have the legal right to do what I want
But my body is the Supreme Court
That’s the final say
So I wake everyday
 (when Im able to sleep)
I go through my survival routine
Look for the elements that can still
exude quality
I am not asking for sympathy or pity
I still have my mind, my brain
and mouth
I am asking tor understanding
Not merely for me but others as well
Some of which display their gift
 and talent through this channel
I have a future although limited
But sometimes it is good
To talk about it🦋
