Truly horrific news today that Steve Scalise, R-LA and Majority House Whip was shot. Reportedly, he along with two Capital policemen and a congressional aide were shot by a nut with an assault rifle on a baseball field. Details are not confirmed as of this writing. I wish the best possible outcomes for all involved.

As a point of context, I took a look at Scalise's NRA gun control voting rating. He scored their highest score for support of the NRA agenda, A+.

Cynics and crazies such as Alex Jones will undoubtedly question if this shooting was real or suggest that if Scalise had had a gun, this shooting could have been avoided. One has to wonder if this event will work to cause his NRA score to fall.
