A car honked. The girl didn't pay attention, she continued walking across the street. The driver pulled his brakes, the girl looked up and saw the car coming at her, she closed her eyes and waited for the car to hit her. A second later, a boy came out of nowhere and pushed her back onto the sidewalk; he got hit. He flew over the hood of the car then the roof and landed on the road.
Ambulance came, they put him in the truck drove off, the girl cried as she saw them take her away.
She went to school, and when it was out, her and her mother rushed to the hospital. They met with the boys parents, the girl apologized, she cried. The boys parents were just glad she was okay. The girl, and her alone, walked into the room he was in, she talked to him.
They talked for hours on end, they laughed. They knew each other for years but never actually talked to one another. A doctor came in, he told the girl to leave for a moment.
The doctor told the boy he had an hour to live, there was to much blood to relieve the pressure on his brain and spinal cord. The boy sat back smiled, he asked if his parents knew, the doctor nodded his head. The girl came back in, the doctor left.
She asked what's going on. He told her, softly, didn't want to startled her. She began to cry; tears went down her cheeks.
The boy had fifteen minutes left, she asked one more question.
"Why did you save me..?" She sniffed a little. They boy told her to lean in, and gave her a kiss. Her eyes widen, more tears came.
"I did it because I love you," he took a deep breath, "I did it because I care for you. I loved you from the day I layed my eyes on you. And from that day forward, I promised to protect you at all cost, and I did such thing. I handled the two bullies who messed with you I'm elementary, I was the one who got you the things you wanted and needed. I was the one who sent you those cards that said I loved you. I love you, that's why I did it, this. I love you, and I never loved anyone before. I was hurt in the past, I didn't want you to be hurt."
The girl cried hard, trying to stop tears from falling down her cheeks. 
He took his last breath. He smiled and closed his eyes. The girl leaned in for one last kiss on his lips. "I love you, don't forget that."
