I remember hearing the thunder shake the apartment with much force
It sounded like the stomach of a raging beast
I remember seeing the bright lightning striking through the glass window
It was so bright I thought the entire world was on fire
I remember the feeling of fear creeping into my mind
It drained the hope out of my eyes
I remember the taste of my salty tears flowing freely down my face
It was as if I was lost in the heart of the storm
I remember the earthy smell of the morning dew on the fresh green grass
It was just another sunny day again
