Ok Lexi just stay calm no reason to worry. I just need to pick out what I want to wear. I could wear maybe shorts? No it’s two cold for that it’s the fall. I could wear a skirt be dressed up for the first day. No seriously just wear pants it’s September and cold you said so yourself. I could wear short sleeves yeah, I can wear the justice top I got last week. Ok now I got dressed. I’m going to brush my hair make sure the knots are out. Ok now to go eat something before the bus comes. The bus 🚌 oh no what if I get placed next to a mean kid! Or what if this isn’t their first year at this school? They will know more people than me. No just stay calm who cares if they are friends with bob and Stacy and I’m not. Ok I’m ready to go to the bus stop. No, wait did I put everything in my backpack! I don’t think I did knowing me I probably forgot something! Let’s see I got my folders for homework and stuff. Pencils sharpener, erasers, markers ok I’m good there. Let’s see um I got my pokemon cards so I can trade with the other kids. Ok I think I’m good to go. Bye Mom and Dad I love you! “Love you two have a good day at school!” 


Ok Lexi we are in the building no need to freak out. Wow it is so much colder in here then I thought it would be. Ok just pick a seat and introduce yourself to the other kids easy. Right? Wrong so wrong I can’t do this what if they think I’m weird? They will definitely think I’m weird. Nope just go through the day if they talk to you great. Ugh who knew math was so boring! Why couldn’t it be as easy as it was in 1st grade? 


Ok Lexi you have survived it’s lunch time now. Just get your food and sit and eat it. Let’s see what’s for lunch ooh cool meatball subs. Just eat knowing after this I get to go outside. I won’t be freezing since I bet you it’s warmer outside than in here. 


Great recess the enjoyable part of the school day. Um should I go down the slides or go on the swings? Swings they are really fun. 


How long have I been on this swing 20 minutes? Wait how long is recess didn’t the teacher say 45 minutes? This feels like it’s been two hours. 


Ok I am now past recess and onto more work. I have a partner what was her name again? Oh right Juleka yeah ok I can do this. Where is the container at?  What did she use It all? Don’t I need to use it as well? Great now what am I suppose to do? Oh well guess I’ll just go with it. 


Finally thank goodness it’s finally dismissal! Just need to wait for my bus number to be called. Number 327, 328,329, 330,331. Come on where is my number! How long do I have to wait here? Finally my number ok just sit quietly on the ride home like I did on the way here. 


Finally I am back at home the first day is over with! “Hey How was your first day of school.” Meh pretty boring didn’t really do much.
