Dreaming is something we commonly all do, when we close our eyes or even if we are awake. I have gifted myself with a special ability, called dream walking. Implementing my own consciousness and my dreams to control their outcomes. This isn't always effective, but has actually dealt with some reoccurring nightmares which have plagued me since childhood. One type of dream, which I have at strange times is a chapter based dreams. When one dream ends, it restarts from where it left off. Similar to a reoccurring dream, it doesn't start over from the beginning but continues on from where my last dream left off. This is actually where one of my stories came from, "Son of Makia" started off as a chapter dream. The complexity of it story, was added in as I used to group of methods which was taught to me in college.

Last night and this morning, I had another chapter based dream. Yes, this means I could possibly be starting another story soon provided I can remember some of the key details from it. I am disappointed, because someone awakened me during these dreams constantly. Hopefully my consciousness will be capable of starting the dream again so I can remember some key details. As a writer, I found the method a dream walking to be effective. Something you should be aware of though, dream-walking is also dangerous. You are implementing your own Consciousness, to your dream itself. When you do this, you are actually taking the form in the dream. Controlling your dream isn't an easy task, but completing it is more difficult.

When you go forward to change the ending of a reoccurring dream, your body actually feels the effects from those dreams. Which could be detrimental, because you could end up having a heart attack or a stroke if something goes wrong in your dreams. Hence, I said it was a very dangerous method. Negative effects in your dream will be felt, but you should tread cautiously anyway if you want to apply this method into your own dreaming. You probably want to know where I learned this ability, which everyone can actually learn if they know how. I'll explain various methods on how to use dream walking, but you must realize after reading this that it is risky in many ways. It can help you, but it can also hurt you. It takes a very special person, who is willing to take their own consciousness to the next level.

To begin, you should have someone who is adept in "Dream Walking" to monitor you at first. In a way, you can think of it like scuba-diving. If you don't know what that is, scuba stands for self-contained underwater breathing apparatus. The diver shouldn't go underwater alone, because of the many dangers which await them. When you're using this ability, you're tapping into your own consciousness, which can be very dangerous if you don't know how. The good news is, we can snap ourselves out of it. It takes skill to do this, and waking yourself up in the middle of a dream could do short-term damage. I would recommend you stay in bed if you have to wake yourself up. Keep a light near you, so you can turn it on until the ghosts of your dreams subside.

How to Dreamwalk

To dream walk, I recommend you turn off all your lights except for a dim light. The color of this line is very important, do not use a blue light in doing this. You probably wonder why, but believe it or not blue light seems to keep people awake. This means you may want to shut off your phone, or any other electronic switch give off blue light. Lay down and relax, try to shut out anything on that side around you. Breathe normally, and focus on what's in your mind. When you fall asleep, and enter REM sleep you start to dream. Your task is to recognize the dream while it's happening. Once you recognize something, you can deal with it. For beginners, the best way to recognize dream is thinking of some kind of object pertaining to your childhood. Constantly focusing on that particular object will implement it into your dream. Once you recognize that object, you can start tapping into your dream. This is where it gets tricky.

Not everyone has a strong enough consciousness to enter a dream right away. When you're aware of a dream though, you can actually add things to your dream or change is outcome without entering it. This doesn't always work, but it has proven effective for some minor reoccurring dreams. Usually, once you change the outcome of a reoccurring dream it will permanently stop. The theory on this, is these reoccurring dreams are caused by something in your Deep Consciousness that went wrong. In the Deep Consciousness, this is where your deepest part of your personality is hidden. In a way, by fixing that ending you eliminate the negative problem pertaining to that part of your personality. It's just a theory that some dreamwalkers have, but it does seem to make sense.

You will not always be able to enter dreams, but in time you will become more skilled at recognizing if you practice. When you are capable of entering it during, you will find a new world of options available to you. You will be able to do things in your dream, just by thinking about them. You will feel this, it will feel real to you while you're in the dream. It could have negative consequences on the outside as well. The more skilled you are dreamwalking, the more you are affected by what can happen in the dreams. This is why I keep saying you need to tread carefully. The person that taught me how to dream walk told me, that she had actually dreamed about burning her arm and it happened. Her arm was covered in a burn, her own consciousness was the cause of this.

This is why it's dangerous to implement your own consciousness into the dream world. You can literally create your own world in your dream if you want to. But I haven't gotten this far, in my years of practicing. Only some of the most mastered dreamwalkers are actually capable of doing so. So I just use my imagination instead. This is where it comes from though, so when the time comes I hope that I'll be capable of doing so. One thing you always have to face though, is reality after you wake up every morning. The reality of what you can do in the dreams, stayed in the dreams. You cannot do those things outside of your dreams, no matter how hard you wonder how you try. There may come a time when we can do those things outside of our dreams, but now is not that time.

The Way It Feels

Most people don't understand, that when you start dream walking you still know you're dreaming. The transition comes, when you become more skilled as you dream walk. Whatever you imagine, is almost always at your own fingertips. Want to walk up invisible steps? Want to sprout wings and fly in the air like an angel or a bird? Wanted to turn into a giant Titan and smash things? I don't recommend doing that last thing, but whatever you want could occur in your dream. In your dream, you are the true master. I can't tell you what to do or how to do it, you will have to learn that for yourself. Everyone's different, and everyone learns what their capabilities are. The only boundary is your imagination. There is something else you should know about dream walking, Co-op gaming. You might be thinking, what the heck, when I say this.

You might think I'm joking, but on Final Fantasy 8 there are the scenes where Squall members of his party fall asleep at the same time. It leads you to believe, that they are in control of the dream. Did each person in the dream is controlled by someone sleeping in the real world. This can actually happen when you are dreaming walking, other dreamwalkers may actually enter your dreams. This is where it gets interesting, because I've actually had this happen to me and done it to someone else. This isn't like a chat box, and you aren't actually avatars in these dreams. Went to dreams connect, they create a doorway between each other. When someone from wandering mistakenly goes through this doorway, they enter someone else's dream by mistake. This is very dangerous.

Both of you have the ability to control a dream, even though it's not your dream. When two or more dreamwalkers, are all grouped up into a dream they compete for the power over the dream. You need to recognize other dreamwalkers, by some of the strange things that may happen. When you're in someone else's dream, you actually could affect their body negatively. Their mentality, spirituality, and emotional health could be jeopardized by your ignorance. Fortunately, this doesn't happen very often. It does happen though sometimes, and you need to be aware of that if you enter someone else's dream somehow.

Dreamwalker Rules

You probably want to know what you should do if you end up entering somebody's dream. Like I said, this doesn't happen too often but it can. Just like someone else could enter your dream, and wreak havoc on your mind. As a dream walk, you should respect someone else's dream if you notice you've entered someone else's realm. They can usually sense each other, but the only way out is by waking up. Like Co-op gaming though, sometimes more than one dream Walker could be a good thing. You can basically look at it like this, if someone else knows you're dreamwalker and they don't try blasting you out of their dream, then there shouldn't be any problems. Unfortunately, some dreamwalkers I know where that other dreamwalkers could actually do this. It's a rare gift, and as far as I know nobody can actually control it. It just happens.

Dangers

Before you try taking up Dreamwalking their are few things you should know.

You are taking up an alternate reality when you dream walk, and you must learn to accept the real world for what it is before doing this. During your dream, you will experience side effects which can affect you in the real world. You could have waken with actual injuries such as cuts or burn marks on your body. I'm not joking about this either, this is serious. The ability you have and dream walking, could differ from another person. Each person has their own limitations, and their own abilities. Your consciousness, will have to be willing to accept the possibility of something before it can be implemented into your dream. If you are not willing to accept any possible realities, then you will have no realities to control. This is intended as informative, as well as an interesting study. Do not abuse this information, and use it only if you think you are capable of doing so.
