A Man I Never Knew Read Count : 75

Before I was even born, I only had one set of grandparents. Today is Veterans Day, and I think about my other grandfather who I never knew. Many people tell me he was a courage this man, who treasured his family dearly. He was stationed in Germany, as an agent gathering intelligence about their movements. He was fortunate to have survived the brutal onslaught. He had a strong distaste for what was happening in Germany at that time, which makes me think of myself. I've always had a strong distaste for the brutality of harming innocent lives. Many people refuse to admit to the fact that the Germans abducted Jews. They brutally tortured and murdered, at death camps. This was all true. There is no lies here.

You probably wonder how I know this about what happened. Like I had mentioned before, my grandfather was stationed in Germany together intelligence. My own dad, some of his father's leftover items. Among those, there are pictures of Adolf Hitler, parading down the streets in Germany. Another one of these pictures, a German officer beating a starved Jewish citizen. Don't tell me the Nazis weren't real, because they were. I have proof of the existence of these horrible people and what they did two other people men, women, and even children who were brutally tortured. We should never become those types of people in America. We should never have to relive that kind of horror anywhere.

I never knew my grandparents on my father's side of the family. I'm still proud to be their grandson, because his blood runs in my veins. My father may be the black sheep, but I am the true born of my ancient relatives. These beliefs, have run and my family's veins for over 2000 years. My family, served in the military on numerous occasions in the past. That even includes World War I. I have a strong love for the military. For the things they have to do, so civilians can live their lives somewhat peaceably. The choices they make, every day like a friend of mine who lost his legs saving an Iraqi child. The decisions we make, affect more than just our lives. Choose carefully.
