For years, I lived life on my knees

Praying for your good health.

Glass bottles had poisoned our family

And with each kiss, death I smelt.

If I could have found the words to say

Anything, I would have spoke on everyone's behalf.

But day after painful, miserable day

All we did was point, whisper and laugh
