The time has come,
 the seasons change
The leaves fall down
At times it rains

I think about this life I was given
Each smile and hug, that's really livin
Family gathers for food and fun
At the end of the day I dont want to be done

Thankfulness floods my heart
I'm glad we're never too far apart 
I'm left to think of the year gone by
Enjoy each day, no need to cry

I'm thankful for each day and night
I wake up to the new daylight
I'm thankful for the food I eat
Each taste, each texture is such a treat

Im thankful for each child I have
Half a dozen and they make me so glad
I'm thankful for my family 
I'm proud to belong on this big tree

I'm thankful for the good health we have
There's some complications but its never too bad
I'm thankful for the roof over my head
The bills are paid and I have a bed

I am thankful for the ones that fought
They gave us freedom, and that, itself is a lot
I'm thankful for our God above
We would have nothing without his great love

I'm thankful for each breath I breathe 
The sounds I hear, each thing I see
I'm thankful for each giggle and smile
Each lesson learned, every single mile


So before we end this wonderful day
Remember to be thankful for each and every thing
