These mass shootings are growing out of hand as another one occurs in Thousand Oaks, California. I have respectfully waited, before writing this for the families who have lost loved ones. Many more parents, of college age kids and a few adults list. The sheriff's deputy, and two security guards inside the club were killed. Shot to death, by a former United States Marine. The gunman, Ian David Long, used a .45 caliber Glock handgun to shoot the victims. Many law enforcement officers, believe that he was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, from being abroad in combat. Recently, within the last few months there was a disturbance with his mom at his family's home.
Long was actually a victim of battery at a bar three years ago in 2018. In the month of April, there was a grieving incident when deputies were called to Long's house after reports of a disturbance. Deputies called the crisis intervention team, and mental health specialist who met with Long. They placed him under psychiatric evaluation.
"They went to the house. They talked to him," Dean said. "He was somewhat irate, acting a little irrationally."-NPR
He served in the Marines from the month of August 2008 until March 2013. A machine gunner who attained the rank of corporal, he served about seven months in Afghanistan, from November 2010 to June 2011. His last duty station was at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. It was not believed, he was enrolled in any Veteran Affairs programs, to help him get used to civilian life. Some troubling information, which deems to be looking into. These are the deceased.
