Because the cruelty of timing
          took away your life 
Poetry is the oxygen that feeds my veins 
Poetry is a way to ease my pain 
Poetry is the way I connect 
Poetry is the way I accept 
Poetry helps express what I miss 
Poetry is a substitute for your kiss 
Perhaps if I continue the effort 
Poetry will help heal and comfort
Perhaps from pain one day I’ll be free
Because the poet in you
