       CHAPTER 2
       THE FAIRYTALE PORTAL



When Hope got home she ran upstairs to the attic and slammed the door.
Ever since her baby sister (who she hated) had been born her room had been the attic.
She had moved all her stuff into it and her dad (who is now dead) had painted the walls pink, her favourite colour.
She rustled through a box and pulled out a book.
It had an emerald green cover and it read "The Land Of Stories. By Chris Colfer.
Even though she hated fairytales it was the only thing she had left of her father's.
She opened it up and started reading it.
"Wait. This is the book Molly was reading earlier!"
She closed it and quickly ran downstairs stole some cookies from the cupboard and went back up to the room and locked the door.
Sat grabbed the book and put it on the bed, then she ran over to her closet and grabbed a wooden panpipe out of it then she ran over to her dressing table and grabbed a shiny vile of some weird liquid.
After she did that she grabbed her backpack and put the cookies in it with her survival kit.
And then sat on her bed.
Then she opened the book to the middle.
After that she opened the vile and took a sip.
Then she grabbed the panpipe and looked at the side of it, ingraved into the side were the letters 
G-E-F-C, C-E-G-F. Then she blew the notes with it
"G-E-F-C, C-E-G-F."
Then all of a sudden the book started glowing and vibrating, then a portal started to form! 
It got bigger and bigger.
Hope grabbed the book the vile the panpipe and her backpack and ran towards the portal and disappeared. 
Leaving her room dark and quiet.
