You sneaky snake
I saw you watching
By the lake
Behind that tree
You silly thing
taking note of  my every move
Pretending that
There’s was nothing wrong , though I didn’t  fit the groove
You are so sweet to keep an eye
Thinking that I always lie
Catching me with another reason why
I simply need you and can’t be free
Knowing you are always there
Around the corner or in the air
Makes me glad that you still care
Although I appreciate your constant stare and the way you make me feel complete
Sometimes I think it might be time for me to take control of my own happiness and retreat
So I wonder now if leaving you will complete my life or be my final surrender .
However I suppose there is now way to foresee what the future will render.
Failure is something I can only imagine to be the simple truth
Of wandering in freedom and in your words “ squandering my youth “ .
Alas, my chances I will take ,
As decisions I will surely have to make,
I only hope that someday you will finally see,
Letting go was the best thing you could have ever done for me .
