My heart was once filled with love 
Filled with this fire
That couldn’t be burnt out 
Not even for a second 
I believed in everything my little ears heard 
And wanted everything my eyes could see
I loved everybody I came across
And connected with people deeply 
My heart was fragile 
And it didn’t have a barrier around it
You saw that as your chance 
To tear me down 
You ripped me of my fire 
Which I thought couldn’t be destroyed 
You made everything I thought come crashing down 
You placed this chain of pain and anguish around my waist 
You destroyed my heart 
Before I even saw it coming 
I was attacked from behind 
With no chance of recovery 
Everyone I loved
Everyone I connected with 
Suddenly weren’t important to me
I didn’t care what happened to me
I was now declared as damaged 
Broken 
Hurt
That fire I had 
It didn’t exist anymore
I didn’t believe that I could be fixed
And I didn’t want anything anymore
But your love
Your apologies
Your trust
I just wanted you to love me again
And not be disappointed in who I was
