Holding my breath 
Frozen standing there
It’s all I can do 
I can’t do anything else but marvel at 
The light presented in front of me
After my countless times of escape 
After my desperate pleas for help
After no recognition from anyone
After 4 long years of constant troubles 
The light 
The rescue 
My savior 
Has finally come 
After all this time
And all I can do is hold my breath 
Hold my breath when I realize I can get out 
Hold my breath when I realize my troubles are over
Hold my breath when I realize my attempts weren’t feeble 
They had an impact 
Hold my breath when I realize I can leave these 4 years in the past
Hold my breath and stand frozen 
Staring and reaching out at this light 
That represented a rescue 
An escape 
A hope for me
That restored faith and love in my heart
