Why, little child, do you cry?

Is it because you know our world is going to die?

Why, sweet child, do they lie?

About politics, safety, the future and our lives.

Why, child of mine, are they afraid?

To tell us the truth, the error in their ways.

Why, lonely child, do they still try?

To fix what is broken, with ductape and lies.

Why, adults so wise, do you continue to lie,

And hurt and steal, yet still deny,

That are our world is falling apart,

Breaking into pieces,

With no amount of ductape left that can fix it.

The polar bears are dying, the bees and pandas too, from the air you poisoned, using resources never yours to use.

You make stupid campaigns, say we'll have change, and yet nothing ever happens,

We're still the same.

Humans hurt each other, each and every day, and blame it on the social media, phones and games.

They never do what is obvious, never changing to the right, saying that it's useless and wasteful...

They say our lives don't matter, not while they still reign, appeasing the sheep that follow them with a silver tongue that says sweet lies.

Why else do we have guns still, despite the problems they cause,

Or why Brexit is going on, or why we still are at war.

Nobody cares about us, we don't have wealth or fame, we're too inexperienced, 'children' some would say.

But we don't have very long left, before the 'adults' destroy it all, and so I can only ask you one question,

Do you want to see it fall?

The tyrants, the corruption, the manipulation and lies,

Do you want to see it all come to light?

To take a stand, fight back against our enemies, and hopefully, one day, restore our world peacefully.

We don't know why they don't care, we've asked to no avail, so now it's time to stop asking why, stop asking when and where,

But instead stand up, vote, protest, and knock the corruption from its throne.

Get up, people

It's time to take a stand

Are you going to keep asking yourself 'Why?'

Or will you join us,

As we march towards a new land.
