"Same song plays everytime any significant event happens in your life. You hear it today while having lunch."

"Wait, what?" Makenzie asked quietly. The 26-year-old woman gently placed her Subway sandwich on the wrapper and glanced around in confusion. It didnt seem as if anything was happening, yet, there it was. That song.

What could it be?

Her eyes landed upon a man with teal colored hair who walked into the fast food restaurant.

Is that it, God? Is it this guy? Is he supposed to be my like, love at first sight or something?

Makenzie watched the man with growing suspicion. He seemed to be looking for someone, but couldn't find whomever it was. At last, his sky blue eyes met with Makenzie's deep amber eyes, and he made his way towards her.

What the-- ??????

Visibly, Makenzie panicked. The teal haired man reached her table and sat down.

"Um, hi, are you Makenzie?" He inquired. "Makenzie Earl?" He fumbled with his fingers nervously.

"...Yes..? What's it to you?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.

"I was just coming in for lunch, then I heard the song... an-and the voice told me to find you," he explained, trailing off. Makenzie's face shifted into one of mock disgust.

"Okay, okay. One, who are you? Two, you know about the song too? And Three," she paused, brushing a strand of her long, wavy auburn hair out of her face. "What... voice?"

The man paused, noticably uncomfortable, and avoided Makenzie's eyes.

"My name is Mark. Uh, Mark Earl. I'm your... hold on," he closed his eyes and his eyebrows knitted together. After a few moment, Mark's blue eyes fluttered open again, and he finished his thought.

"I'm your brother."

"What?! I- I dont have a brother! Just my mom! My dad died in a car crash! This stupid song was playing during that, too!" She hissed, making sure she didnt make a scene in the Subway. As Makenzie stared at him, she noticed he was sweating. Was he nervous?

What even is this dude?

"Um," stuttered Mark. He opened his mouth to speak, but paused.

"A-anyways. Yes I know about the song... it happens to me too. When I met my girlfriend, it was playing in the café. When I got my first job, it was playing on the radio in the background. When my girlfrie-- um, nevermind. However, I cant for the life of me remember what it's called. Every time I look and I go to write it down my phone is dead and there are no pens around me." He explained hastily.

"As for the voice? Well," Mark's voice dropped and he scanned the almost empty Subway.

"I always hear a voice whenever this songs plays. It tells me the exact situation and what's going on thats... signifacant. It told me your name and that you're my sister," He chuckled nervously.

"Please dont think I'm crazy," he pleaded with Makenzie.

The auburn haired woman was shocked, and she freaked out.

"How do I know you're my brother? How can you... prove it?" Makenzie asked as her eyebrows knitted together.

"Well, I can't. But why else would the song be playing?" Mark asked quietly.

"Yeah..." admitted Makenzie, a little bewildered.

As she listened, Makenzie suddenly noticed that the song ended and a new one was starting.

"Hmm, guess it's over. Well, there goes another moment in my life I'll never forget," she laughed to herself, and looked to her... brother. Yeah. Her brother.

"I think this is the part where we get to know each other, then?"
