Perhaps if we talked it out 
I could get over it 
Perhaps if I had done something in the past
I could’ve prevented you from 
Hurting the people that loved you 
Perhaps I could’ve stopped myself from creating a rift in our relationship
Perhaps I could’ve done something 
To prevent the outcome of the future
But it’s hard to prevent something that’s 
Inevitable 
Because as the saying goes

Once a cheater, always a cheater
