Here we are again today, with the reopening of the new show on ABC. "The Conners" which is threaded from "Roseanne."

Now, I know most people have issues on both sides, but Prejudiced statements is never okay. Even with comedy, there's an old saying.

"When you take things to far there's a point of no return." -Lucille Ball said this at a charity event.

There's three basic things you should respect, health, religion, and ethnic backgrounds.

1. Health- when making smart-aleck statements about a person's health, you can hurt that person very badly. If a person has problems, it's not necessarily their own fault for being that way. If someone's born with a disability, it's wrong to mock them for being that way.

2. Religion- A person's religious beliefs is sacred to them. It's okay to poke fun at religion, but you should never ever show them disrespect for it. Most people follow religion, because it's the way they want to be. There's something in there that they want, whether it's to be a better person or to understand the world a lot better.

3. Ethnic Background- This is considered one of the most common roles of Comedy. Here's the important part about this, the person you're making the joke about has to understand it's a joke. It's not okay otherwise, and making fun of where someone came from could certainly upset them a great deal. Roseanne Barr, tweeted a so-called joke about a former member of Obama's administration.

This was her tweet.

“Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,”

Here's the problem with this. The woman being referred to as vj's father was a Muslim.

This is disrespectful to the woman's heritage.

Next, planet of the apes is a reference to her skin tone. The problem here is vj was actually European. This lies in this as a racial slur.

Everyday, people let racial slurs like this slip out of there mouth's. It's important to understand though, because though it happens, it's not okay just say things like this. It's this kind of disrespect, which lead people to believe the wrong things about people that they don't even know about.

Thanks for reading,  if you have any insight feel free to share.
