I lost everything on my computer when I had to reformat and recover to get my defrag and scan disk to work. So I have been busy re-installing, etc. I lost my pictures but now I have a scanner and can scan in some myself. I took the scanner I got for my birthday and exchanged it for a Hewlitt Packard because my printer and computer are that brand. It will be easier for me if I have any problems as only have to deal with one support system. Before they didn't know if the scanner was causing my problems or not. Things basically seem to work ok now except my time is working but doesn't look right. It has those solid blocks that get mixed up in writing when it isn't readable which most people call gibberish. It took time but everything worked out.
I died my red hair and I like it. People aren’t used to it though. Most say it looks nice, but only Janet would tell me that she didn’t like it and liked it better blonde.
My friend Sally entertained me all day yesterday for my birthday. We went to movie, she treated me for lunch and then we went to look at her house she bought and is hoping to sell her Spruce Creek home and move to the Ocala one. The house is in the best part of Ocala with horse ranches all around. She has two beautiful acres with large life oak trees, palms, orange and grapefruit trees, a large pool, jasmine along the fencing. It is older and she wants to do some remodeling. She has some unusual ideas that will cost quite a bit of money. I can't wait to see it. March of 2004 and Suzanne is talking about moving again to Kentucky or some place with less taxes and people, maybe having a Christian retreat set up there.
This Sally was quite a character. She always said “Bless your heart” at everything you said. So annoying. One time she said someone came into her house and messed up all her folded wash on the sofa. I had to wonder about that.
We went to visit her mom in an assistant living place in Dunnellen and it is really a pretty place. By the time I got home it was near dinner time. There was a tag on my door that a flower delivery was attempted. I had to wait until today to call them and had them sent to the blood bank where I volunteer and was today. I couldn't imagine who would send me flowers and it turned out to be Anne and her family. I never received a birthday gift from them before so was really taken back. I thought maybe she was doing something special since it was a big birthday and I had told her that I hate birthdays with zeros in them.
I have more lookers coming to see the house tomorrow so will have to get up and busy early tomorrow. Everyone is looking, but no one is ready to buy yet. Ugh. We may get tired of the whole thing and forget it for awhile leaving the sign on the window but no ads in the papers. They cost $60 for 20 days. Canceled idea soon after this. Staying here.
I really got a bunch of cards this year for my birthday.
