These voices are not mine
But they are jammed into my mouth
These thoughts are not mine
But they are stuffed in my head

They tell me I can't 
And I don't disagree
They tell me I'm nothing
And they aren't wrong

I hold my breath
And hope to break the surface
I can't scream for help
Or water will fill my lungs

I don't know how to say this
So I whisper it quietly
For only you to hear
Please keep it safe
