The strangers that call themselves 'humans' came to our planet in a big moving metal container that they called a 'spaceship'. At first we thought they were messengers from the creator but they claim to be from another planet and besides, they don't act like messengers, they act like slave drivers.

They think that just because we live 'primative' lives that we are a 'lower species' and therefore it is ok for us to do their heavy lifting while they go off galavanting around our planet and do strange and sometimes cruel experiments on some of us. I am one of their test subjects, thankfully for one of their less terrible experiments. They seem to be trying to teach me how to be more humanlike, they taught me how to speak 'english' and they have taught me to read and write. They also try to make me wear these strange things they call 'clothes'. Ugh, how can they stand these things, so uncomfortable. Thankfully with the experiments that they are doing with me are leading them to treat my people better. Still not very great but better.

Not all of the humans are so bad though, I have one human here that I could call a friend. She is my 'doctor', she makes sure that I stay healthy. She's kind to me and will often times intervene if one of the other humans isn't treating me well. We often times talk about getting my people and I our freedom, it's unfortunate that her word doesn't seem to carry enough weight with the other humans. Maybe one day we could convince them.

Earlier today she came to me and told me to gather my belongings because we were going to leave and never come back. I asked her where we were going but she told me that it was a suprise. So I gathered up my few belongings including this journal that I'm currently writing in. I walked out of my room and she pulled me through a door that I had never entered before. She continued to tug me down a strange hallway where I saw a door with daylight shining through it. So that was where the door to the outside was. I hadn't been outside since I came there. We went out the door and she told me to run.

"They won't like it that you left the building, we need to hurry!" She had said.

So we ran. We ran until the lab had long gone over the horizon, until we had reached the 'city' that the humans had made or rather that they forced my people to make. We threaded our way through the crowd as I gaped at how the land I had known had changed completely into a strange land. 'Skyscrapers' stood where trees once had,  'parking lots' where there had once been meadows, and the cave I once called home was now turned into an attraction for human 'tuorists'. My home was gone, my planet changed into a foreign landscape, and my people had been replaced by strangers. I had become into a stranger in my own homeland.

She guided me to a smaller building and led me inside.

"We should be safe here for now, tomorrow we'll go on into the wilderness. For now we should get some rest." She said.

"Why are we doing this?" I asked her.

"Because we need to free your people. That's what you want isn't it?" Without waiting for an answer she walked into a different room and closed the door behind her.

I sat down and opened my journal and now here we are. I can hardly wait for tomorrow when we finish our journey and start liberating my people. One day soon we all will be free.
