How are you? 
Are you having a good life 
Are you leading the life you wanted
Did you get what you hoped for
Did you ever think of reaching out?

I’m pretty good
I got two new dogs
My life is good and I have a job 
What ever do you mean? I have everything I could’ve hoped for.
Reaching out? I’m talking to you now.
Of course I thought of you
I...I have to leave 

Me:

I want a reason 
You y...you can’t just leave without giving a reason 
You promised my Mom you wouldn’t do that 
You promised that you’d stay around 
That if we needed you you’d show up
But I needed you 
10 years and you weren’t there
You work with my Step-Dad and I know he’s talked to you
There’s a reason you won’t show up! 
You’ve had multiple invitations to parties, events, family gatherings
Yet all I get is a card saying Love Daddy
It’s not fair 
I can’t keep going on like this 
Hoping for an answer that you can’t

I never meant to hurt you
I just couldn’t stay

I could’ve dealt with you two seperated 
At least I still got to see the both of you
I still got to hug both of you
And talk to both of you 
I would’ve been fine with you two separated 
No what hurt me
Was the fact that you had promised 
And had made the choice that you wouldn’t leave 
Yet in the end 
You still walked away without reason
