Change - Ain’t A Cool Term Dude!

From time immemorial, this word has been used quite loosely for various purposes. Most often, to motivate people. When i was listening to this powerful video one morning on my daily walk in a nearby park; it occured to me that CHANGE was not as easy as it looks like. Let me explain, as Humans we tend to slip back into our habits which become our nature and that becomes our character. Hmmm, if you are wondering, so Change not possible; uh-huh that’s not my point. Change happens by conciously creating a new habit in place of the old. It requires discipline and focused mindset. Let us take the cliched change one wants, “i want to get fit, so ill go to the Gym from first day of the new year”. One decides this on New Year’s eve as a resolution. One forgets this requires a daily effort to move out of inertia of staying in bed till 8am and waking up by 5/6am every single day. This would require following the right diet and nutrition to ensure muscle rebuild and fat loss. Most often, people survive this resolution for two weeks tops, others maybe one month and just 2% follow their goals effectively. When all of us have been given similar intelligence levels and aptitude; why does one fall in this trap and slip back. It is SIMPLE! One needs to conciously not look at this as a task, however make this a HABIT which can then slowly over a period of time become your DNA.
