Out here it's kill or be killed, or at least that's what they told me. I am being hunted by a monster, I don't know what it is but it will kill me if I don't kill it first.
And I am very afraid. I keep wondering what this creature is, is it big like a dragon or small like a snake, will it use claws to kill me or it's teeth or will it be something even more horrible.
I run through the thick jungle trying to find a way out when I hear a twig snap behind me. I wirl around to find...
Myself, an exact replica of me.
My Twin pulls out a knife and stands in a threatening pose. I put my hands up in a calming gesture.
"Hey, easy, I won't hurt you." I said in as calm a voice as I could muster.
"They told me that you would try to kill me, so why should I trust you?" Twin said. "You're probably trying to trick me." Twin raised the knife and prepared to cut me.
"Wait, they told me the same thing about you. Except I was expecting some kind of monster." I said
Twin let out a grunt. "Of course they told you to look for a monster, that's what they think we are," Twin sneered, "they want us all dead."
"What do you mean they want us all dead? What did we ever do to them?" I asked.
"Nothing!" Twin spat, "We did absolutely nothing but exist and yet we are considered villains. Even if you do survive this they will kill you. You might as well let me stab you, it would be a much nicer fate."
"There must be some way we can get out of here without dying!" I exclaimed.
"There is no way out but death, I already have searched this whole jungle to find a way out, there is nothing." Twin said scornfully, "The best way out for you is for me to kill you."
Twin suddenly lunged forward with the knife, too fast for me. I felt the knife plunge into my chest. "At least this way one of us can have a better ending." Twin said almost mournfully. Then Twin yanked the knife out of my chest and my consciousness faded into darkness.
