               Chapter 1: Panic 

   She could feel it coming. Hear the wind rushing in her ears. See the head lights. The sound of metal colliding caused a scream to began to rise in her throat. 
    Raven sat up, soaked in sweat. Where was she? What was that noise coming from? Was someone in pain? It took her a moment to realize that she was the one sobbing. Dazed and confused she wiped the tears from her face. She blinked back her tears and when she opened her eyes again her room was flooded with light and someone was wrapping their arms around her. She choked back another scream. 
  "It's ok, I'm here," a familiar voice whispered holding her close.
   Raven clung to the damp shirt, "Dad? Where am I? What's going on?"
  Her father pressed her closer to his chest, "Baby, don't you remember? You were in a bad accident. Your in the hospital love. You've been in a coma for about two weeks now."
"I...I...don't understand. Where's Adam?"
    Raven felt her dad take several deep breaths, "Dad? Where is Adam? Where's my  brother?"
"Sweetheart...Adam," he said his voice cracking, "Adam was the one driving that night and...."
  "Dad where is he? Where is Adam?Where's my brother?"
   She pushed herself away from her father. To her surprise he had tears running down his cheeks.
  "Baby. Adam...Adam was killed instantly."
   The color drained from her face, "Dead. What do you mean dead? He's gone...."

             Chapter 2: Back to normal?
    5am. Wake up. Get dressed. Run.  Change. Catch the bus. Go to school. Come home. Run. Shower again. Eat sleep. Repeat.
