You’ll never understand why I do the things I do
Why I ask you the things I do
You’ll never understand why I ask if you slept good
Every single morning
You’ll never understand why I give you a hug as soon as I see you
Every single day
You’ll never understand why I ask you how was work
Even though you answer the same every time
You’ll never understand why I make sure the house is clean
You’ll never understand
Why I ask you these questions
Even though
You give me the same answers
I slept good
I slept bad
Work was work
Work was busy
Same answers
Every single day
To the point that you’re probably annoyed by it
But you’ll never understand why I do it
You’ve never asked why I do it
Why ask these questions knowing I’ll get the same answer?
Why bother asking
Well you’ll never understand that
I ask those questions
Because I’m afraid that the day work didn’t go well
The day where everything goes incredibly wrong
You don’t reach out to talk to someone
I want to be there in case one day the usual
Work was work
And work was busy
Answers
Change
You don’t understand why I give you a hug when you wake up
When I see you in the afternoon
And before I go to bed
You’ll never understand
That every morning you leave for work
I’m home alone with nobody else but myself
And I’m always scared that one day
You’ll walk out of that house
And end up not coming back
I’m terrified that I won’t be able to give you a hug anymore
My fears
And frights are the reasons
For the things I do
Because I can’t imagine a life
Without any of you
