I forgot your birthday again,
Another year's flown by,
Another un-bought present,
From the Apple of your eye.

You've never been perfect
Though neither have I,
We've been through it all,
Love, Hugs, Hurt and Lies.

I forgot your birthday again,
Not much of a surprise,
But I'll gift you with presence,
I wont greet your stories with sighs.

Because you are my daddy,
A dark curly haired, youth inside,
The lines on your face are telling,
A life of laughter, worry and pride.

I forgot your birthday again,
Still you'll hug me and smile,
Because you are my daddy,
A piece of your heart lives in mine.
