WitchCraft Academy - Plants and Popularity - After a few minutes of just hanging around the classroom, the professor had finally arrived. "Good evening everyone, I'm your professor for Potions 101. To those who do not know me, I am Professor Bloodsworth.", he said in a monotone voice. All eyes snapped on him immediately as he spoke. I looked at him head to toe, he was a tall man. He had pure black hair shoulder-length hair and black eyes. He had a pale complexion and a unique scar on the left side of his forehead. "Please get the following ingredients listed on your Potions book on page 119.", he placed both of his hands on the dark oak table, flipping through pages in an old-looking book. I glanced at Agatha, which had already positioned the big book in the middle of our work table, opening it on the specific page our professor told us. "You will need An eye of a toad, 2 pieces of a dragons tail, a nail of a nature fairy and 5 strands of mermaid hair.", Agatha read the ingredients to me and I just nodded my head, my eyes wide as she said the following. How can such ingredients exist?! Well, they already have witches and wizards so there must be something.....but where do they get these stuff? I mean, a dragon tail? Nature fairy? Mermaids?! "Hello? Earth to Madison?", Agatha snapped her fingers right in my face which snapped me out of my thoughts. "Anyway, you go cut the dragon tail and get the eye. I'll go grab the hair and the nail.", she beamed a bright smile while I frowned. "You just don't want to touch the gross ingredients.", I heaved a sigh when she shrugged, standing up and walking to the shelves in the back of the room. The tail was on the side of the work table already prepared to be cut so I grabbed it and also took the knife. "Whoa, this tail feels....weird..", I muttered brushing my fingers on the middle. I positioned the knife and started cutting two pieces, and then stood up walking to the back, walking pass Agatha. She gave me a wink before heading to our work table. As soon as I found the eyes after a few minutes, I finally head back to the work table having Agatha waiting for me. Her fingers tapping on the wooden table, her nails making a sound as it hit the table softly. "Sorry, I'm really new to this. Like reeaally new.", I said, plopping back on my seat groaning. "Keep your groaning in low volume if you don't want us to get in trouble.", she scolded and I rolled my eyes as we looked at the book, specifically the instructions on how to make this potion. Did I mention this was a growth potion? It didn't specifically say what's it for, but all I know it's a growth potion. Minutes passed and there was only 20 minutes left until we move on to the next class. We've mixed, crushed things, liquefied, etcetera etcetera. In the end we've made this dark green, bubbly liquid placed in a test tube. I was slightly, no, very nervous because the others were a different color. Like a bright yellow, pure black and light green. "I'll be checking your potions now.", he said moving away from his table which seemed to be empty except for the opened book. He didn't do anything, actually which was weird. "Were you even creating a growth potion?", he scrunched up his nose and poured the liquid on a pot of plant at the side of the poor guys' table. The plant had slowly died, turning black. "F!", he yelled and continued on until he reached us. "I pray that you two did this basic potion correctly.", he frowned, grabbing the test tube, examining it before pouring it on the same plant pot earlier. The plant had grew back only it was bigger...Really big...it continued to grow until the room looked like a jungle where we had to cut through all the plants. "Excellent work, what are your names?", his frown immediately turned into a smile as he pushed a big leaf down that was covering his face. "I'm Madison." "Agatha." His smile grew wide. "B+, since it's a basic potion. There were a few errors but you both did well.", a buzz started sounding which cause the other students in the class stand up and leave the room, trailing after them. ** To the next class we go! ** I went in the class to find a familiar face leaning back his chair and his feet on the table. The tables were seperated now, but were still close. I flinched when his eyes were on me, his lips forming a joyful grin as he saw me. "Madison! Hey!", He waved, motioning for me to come over, and I did. "Hey Jordan.", I said in a monotone voice, as I clenched my fists behind my back. "Come, sit beside me.", he patted the table next to his and I shook my head. "No! I mean...", I cleared my throat. "No, I don't want to.", his grin turned into a frown when I declined. "Why? Is there something wrong with the seat?", he said slightly shaking the seat if there was a problem, he wiped it to check if there was dust but there none. "No, I just...Okay, so I want to talk to you guys about your popularity in this academy." He raised his eyebrow and sat straight. "Please tell me you're not like the other girls.", he groaned loudly, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "What? No! I-I...I'm just curious because you have some sort if reputation and it has something to do with the glares and stares I was getting earlier!", I blurted out not wanting him to think of me like...that. "Well, sit down beside me if you want to know.", I heaved a sigh and plopped myself down the seat beside him. ** Hey guys! Sorry, I've been posting quite boring chapters lately. They are just fillers for something big, so don't worry it won't be a book of boring witchcraft! **
