Too soon to say I'm sorry,
Too late to take it back,
I didn't mean to hurt you,
With everything that I lack.

If only I could rewind,
Not only in my head,
I'd say the words I should have,
Not leaving them unsaid.

I lacked the strength it needed
I couldn't put it right,
Regret will always humble,
and haunt me in the night.
