No one realizes, but people are truly complex in many different ways. They can smile, laugh, say a kind word or two. And it can all be deception. Each and every last one of them.

People will be there for you in your darkest moments, like apricity during the coldest winters. They support you and cherish you one moment, then leave you in the dirt the next. And the ones that do care are always so far away.

Some can try to promise you that they're one of the "different ones". They say that they will never abandon you. But what happens when you run out of what they wanted or needed out of you? They leave. Make you look like a fool.

People take this as a joke nowadays, "who hurt you?" becoming their most popular reaction. But deep down, I know that even some of them heed the fact that this is an excruciatingly painful realization.

Experience hurt me. It wounded me. It induratizes me. Everyone who is close to me has no idea of the wars I fight with my mind every waking moment of my life.

And they wonder why I don't smile as often as I used to.
