               The beginning

World championship wrestling came to a screeching vault in March 2001 by being bought out by their competition and owner of the world wrestling federation (Vince McMahon) spent 2.5 million on the purchase of the company. Soon after Vince would purchase the wcw video liabary for 1.7 million spending a total of 4.2 million on the company.

NWA: national wrestling alliance owner Jimmy Crockett was facing bankruptcy by 1988. TBS owner Ted Turner bought NWA and renamed it world championship wrestling (WCW) Ted Turner would go on to open his wallet making accusstions such as Hulk Hogan,Macho Man Randy Savage,Scott Hall,Kevin Nash, Bret Hart, Rick Rude. Many superstars who were employees at one time of the WWF. Eric Bichoff an announcer of then defunct AWA another wrestling organization gobbled up by Vince McMahon: Bichoff applied for an interviewer in the WWF was turned down. Bichoff headed south not for just the warm climate but for a job at WCW he first appeared at the Great American Bash: In 1993 the president of WCW "Cowboy" Bill Watts resigned from his position. The presidentsy was for grabs: Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone were the top contenders for the job. In this case Eric went to the executives to apply for the job. The executives liked what they heard: Eric was hired as wcw president. 

Eric used Turner's checkbook to sign so much talent. Ted Turner ordered Eric to run WWF out of business.
