Our world, is full of strange mysterious myths which are only forgotten through time. One of these myths, is a legend about a woman and the little girl in the Hallow Woods. They were traveling down the road on October 30th searching for a place to stay the night when they came across a small inn. They were both very exhausted from their long journey and decided to take rest in this inn. The woman walked up to the person at the front desk and asked if they could have a room. The Innkeeper told them, he would only let them have one if they were willing to pay $5 up front since they had no luggage. The mother told the Innkeeper she had four dollars, but she would work it off the next day.

The Innkeeper agreed to her terms, as long as the little girl promised not to pester any of the guests. The little girl nodded as the Innkeeper guided the woman and girl upstairs to a room away from the other guests. Strangely enough as the next morning came, the woman mysteriously died in her sleep. The Innkeeper called the nearby Doctor disgruntled and wondering if she had tricked him into letting her stay. The Doctor 's news was not as comforting when he told Hythe Innkeeper she had been poisoned. He questioned the little girl and the eight guests. He had taken on more than he bargained for as he asked everyone including the orphaned stable boy.

The last stable boy mentioned he had seen a strange man come out of her room. He wondered if the imagination of the boy had gotten the better of him. The description of the man didn't sound like it matched the guests. So he decided to drop the investigation, when he went into the town to get some provisions. It was the 31st and he didn't want to concern any of the guests. He set up the inn to throw an old fashioned dance and costume party outside.

That night, the Innkeeper decided to let the girl attend the party for his wealthy guest and had the stable boy watch her. During the night as she was coming out of the bathroom the boy heard her scream and saw a large dirty man dragging her off. The stable boy tackled the man staggering him enough to release her, but the man struck the boy across the face knocking him out. A guest heard the commotion and went to save the little girl. The short wealthy man jabbed him four times and the Innkeeper arrived to restrain the large man for the Town Guards. The man had admitted to poisoning the woman and was dragged away. The little girl quickly ran outside; where the still somewhat dazed boy followed her.

That night, they sat on the swing together outside in the crescent moonlit skies. After a while she had stopped thinking of the man and looked at the boy's face. She liked it, causing him to jerk back causing him pain. He told her "I wish you wouldn't do that."

She sighed "I wish I could grant wishes."

The boy paused in silence and started laughing at the little girls response. Suddenly a mysterious voice and light erupted from the woods. The little girl ran towards the light and the boy followed her. A mysterious woman was standing on the water with pale blue hair and fair skin. The little girl asked the woman what she wanted and the woman replied "To make you happy again."

The little girl asked the woman if she could make it so she could grant wishes. The woman was surprised at the little girl's request and answered yes. There was a catch though, as she would only be able to grant wishes one day a year. The little girl agreed and was shrouded by the woman's light. The boy froze in awe as the girl turned into a fairy. She poked his cheek and the bruise and swelling disappeared.

The next morning, the fairy reverted back to her human self and attended a funeral for her mother. When they returned to the Inn, the little girl was stopped at the entrance, by the short wealthy man who stood in to defend them. He asked her if she would like to live with them, but she looked at the stable boy and shook her head. His wife whispered in his ear and he asked if the boy and she would like a home with them since they had no children of their own. The boy froze in shock, as he didn't expect that to come up. She noticed the look on his face and thought about it for a moment. She then asked "Will it make both of you happy?" Tears dripped from the woman's eyes as she nodded. The man went in to make a deal about the stable boy and rode home with them in a fancy carriage. As the years passed by, people began speaking of a fairy granting each person a single wish that saw her. Thus, she became known as the spirit of the Hallowed Woods.
